Programs

From cleaning up ocean pollution, to testing our coastal waters, as well as reducing single use plastics, our programs ensure that our marine ecosystems stay protected.

Beach Cleanups

Join us in taking a stand against ocean pollution by getting involved with the Surfrider South Sound beach cleanup initiative. By volunteering at one of our cleanups, you can actively contribute to the preservation of our shorelines and make a meaningful impact on the health of our oceans. Together, we have the power to restore our beaches, one cleanup at a time.

Blue Water Task Force

The South Sound Blue Water Task Force is our volunteer water testing, education, and advocacy program. Our task force volunteers collect data and results from testing sites to alert the public and officials within the Puget Sound about water quality issues.

Ocean Friendly Restaurants

The South Sound Ocean Friendly Restaurants program tackles plastic pollution at its source. One restaurant, one customer at a time, it increases awareness on single use plastic within the restaurant industry, drives behavior change, and ultimately creates a scalable impact to reduce our plastic footprint.
